Well, not *sigh* about the weight, obviously. That whole no-snacking thing did wonders for my plateau, even though I haven't stuck to it perfectly. The sigh is mostly for my blog-updating skills, and a bit about exercise going by the way-side. Noah's work schedule has gone all to hell, so the morning runs haven't happened for the past week, and I'm kind of antsy. I have been going on regular walks with Jim, though - an hour in the park most days, and two hours in the local swamp once a week or so. The swamp walks are the best - lots of time to think, pretty scenery, lots of wildlife. I always see egrets and herons, and last time I saw an armadillo. It was terribly exciting.
Anyway, not much to report. Eating is fine, I'm exercising but not quite according to plan, and I'm in the 130s for basically the first time in five years. Next goal? 137.6 - normal BMI!

CC7 and run. (143.8)
Report on the diet front: Feb 1st I had a bite of Jim's supper (baked potato and cheese), but no other snacks. Yesterday I had no snacks. Not bad, on the whole.
Yesterday we did pushups and squats. I pushed myself more than usual, with excellent results.
Me:
3 x 30 supported squats (OWW)
1 x 20 wall pushups (warmup)
1 x 20, 1 x 25, 1 x 30 incline pushups (not fun, but I'm pleased with myself - good form, evem)
Noah:
3 x 30 supported squats
1 x 20 wall pushups
1 x 15 incline pushups
3 x 30 knee pushups
Just got back from our morning run, too. It was warmer than usual, which was nice, and there weren't as many soldiers on the field as usual, which was even nicer. We ran pretty slowly (enough that we could talk through it), and my calves felt oddly tight the whole time. We decided to walk another loop when we were done.

A couple new guidelines. (144.4)
I've kind of stalled out on weight loss this past week, and I'm pretty sure it's due to excessive snacking. I was reading an interesting article on number/frequency of meals, and it looks like three meals a day with nothing in-between is actually better for appetite suppression anyway (A Critique of the ISSN Position Stand on Meal Frequency from Leangains.com), so I think I'm going to cut out snacking for this month and see how it goes. I'll check in daily to report.
Goals this month:
I'm hoping I can get into the 130s by the end of the month. Let's see how it goes.
Goals this month:
- No snacks!
- Just ONE piece of dark chocolate after supper!
- Carry on with running, convict conditioning, and regular walks in the park.

CC #6 (145.0)
Gah, weight is up slightly. Don't know what happened. Well. That's not QUITE true. Making banana bread = terrible mistake. Also didn't run today even though it's a run day, because Jim was up thirty times last night and Noah let me sleep in. On the up side, we did CC instead, and it went pretty well today. I moved on to the next level of leg raises, and increased the number of horizontal pulls I can do. Afterwards Noah and I tried uneven pushups to see what they were like, and HOLY SHIT I DID ONE. Like a real one, no kneeling, no fudging, no bending. An actual uneven pushup. We won't get to those in the actual progression for probably two months, so I know I'll be much stronger then, but it is AMAZING to know that I can actually do that now, even if it was quite a strain.
Me:
1 x 20 knee tucks (warmup)
3 x 35 flat knee raises (not too bad)
1 x 20 vertical pullups (warmup)
1 x 15 and 2 x 12 horizontal pullups (chest-height, and haaaaard)
Noah:
1 x 20 knee tucks
1 x 15 flat knee raises
3 x 30 flat bent leg raises
1 x 20 vertical pullups
1 x 25 and 2 x 20 horizontal pullups

Easiest run ever (144.6)
Ran the same as last time (.85 mile run, .15 mile walk, repeat). FREEZING this morning - 30ish, maybe. Ran pretty slow but not horrifically slow, was able to maintain a conversation with Noah the whole way. Felt good, man. Next time we'll be running .85 miles, walking .15, then running 1 mile. Should be easy.
PS - Pleasantly sore (esp. in chest and hips) from CC yesterday. I love DOMS.

CC #5 (143.6)
Kind of a funny workout. We ended up doing more squats than planned because I was trying to help Noah fix his form. Poor dude can't stay balanced at all at the bottom. It's nice to know I'm better than him at one of these things, yes?
Me:
Wall push-ups 1 x 20 (warm-up)
Incline push-ups 3 x 20 (RARRRR SO STRONG)
Jack-knife squats 3 x 30 (mommmmmmy *whimper*)
Noah:
Wall push-ups 1 x 20
Incline push-ups 1 x 15
Kneeling push-ups 1 x 35, 1 x 28, 1 x 30
Jack-knife squats 1 x 15
Supported squats 1 x 20, 1 x 35, 1 x 20
